I provide exceptional personal service to you, my client, to help you achieve your real estate goals. When you work with me to buy a home, I listen to your goals, then work to make them a reality. When you have a home to sell, I help you prepare and present it to it's best advantage to earn you the most money, in the least amount of time, with the least amount of hassle. My commitment to service has enabled me to become a consistent top producer. My success is evidenced by my many loyal past clients and their many referrals. In 2005, I was recognized with an award that honors Realtors who have gone above and beyond service to clients while maintaining the highest ethical standard, and with whom other Realtors would most like to work with on their transactions. I first moved to Hawaii in 1973, coming from the Panama Canal Zone. I was raised in a military family. My father is a retired Army Colonel and physician. My mother is a retired Real Estate Broker. Both instilled in me the values of integrity, discipline, having a positive attitude, and a good sense of humor. I graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. After college and some travel, I returned to Honolulu to manage my mother's real estate firm, Sharon Schamber, Inc. In 1996, Sharon and I joined Carvill & Co., LLC, one of Oahu's pre-eminent real estate companies. In June 2014, Carvill & Co. allied with Sotheby's International Realty, the marketer of the world's most valuable and prestigious properties. Our partnership with Sotheby's provides me with extensive technological and marketing capabilities of the highest caliber to help me serve you, my client. With proven sales experience and continuing education coursework, I have earned several prestigious real estate designations. These designations emphasize my commitment to provide my clients with the highest level of professional real estate services by securing a strong educational foundation in real estate laws, procedures, trends, and technology. I truly love my work and am eager to assist buyers or sellers of Hawaiian real estate, be they first-time buyers, military transferees, seasoned homeowners, those looking for second/vacation homes, or investors looking for income property. While my passion is real estate, I love traveling to 'off the beaten path' destinations, like Kirkenes, Norway, and La Paz, Bolivia. In my spare time, I'm an avid gardener and enjoy reading for my book club. I've been married for 25 years to a local employment attorney. We are both active in our small Episcopal Church parish of St. Mark's Kapahulu, right outside Waikiki. We live with our nonagenarian great-aunt in a home that is ruled by our poi dog, Margaret, and her sister Belle, a dachshund.
